When two tables have exactly the same fields, concatenation is done automatically by Qlikview. So the following source tables will result in one QlikView table:

LOAD A,

B

FROM file1.csv;

LOAD A,

B

FROM file2.csv;

This can be avoided by using the Noconcatenate statement

If two tables do not have exactly the same fields, concatenation is still possible, but has to be made explicit through the Concatenate statement

*Table1*:

LOAD

A,

B

FROM file1.csv;

CONCATENATE LOAD

A,

C

FROM file2.csv;

Without further instructions, the QlikView script will concatenate the table with the last created table.

The resulting Table1 has three fields: A; B; and C. Of course there are no rows with data for A, B and C filled out.
